Let's talk about the amazing, life changing benefits, from the powerful practice of yoga!
I would say that a lot of people who have chosen to live a holistic lifestyle would agree that yoga is a big part of healing. It is so important to move, stretch, nurture and connect with your body. Unlike working out, yoga requires a little more connection with your breath, which in result, connects you with your mind. I have found that in my morning yoga sessions I tend to feel grounded in the present moment, which truly lets me be able to enjoy my time without worrying about the past or future. That is because with every breath I take I come into a beautiful state of awareness. On top of many other reasons why yoga is beneficial, I would say that the best result you can get from your practice is a new state of awareness.
There are so many advantages you can get from yoga, on and off the mat. If you're someone who tends to live their life in the fast lane, puts their health on the back burner, experiences physical pain & stress, I would definitely suggest considering yoga. Taking at least 30 minutes out of your day to do some light stretching and deep breathing can change your life! For me, setting up a comfortable space to honor my body brings me a lot of joy. I am fairly new to the practice and have already seen amazing changes! I tend to go into my day having a happier attitude, have noticed more physical flexibility, and ( the most important change for me ) less back pain! That is just an example of some of the healthy changes you may see just starting off as a beginner in yoga.
Your mind, body, and spirit will all be engaged and revamped! As much as you can experience physical gains like less pain, improved strength, better balance, etc, you can also experience a lot of great benefits relating to your mental health as well. It's proven that after a yoga session your mood will be boosted. I mean, who wouldn't feel immediate gratification after doing some self care.
If you are reading this, and want to make a powerful change in your life, consider the power of yoga.
